Dustin Brighton

FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR
 

Mr. Dustin (Dusty) Brighton, MPA, is the Managing Director and Founder of Brightstone Bridge. Dusty led the building of the State Government Affairs Program as Vice President at the Internet Association. His responsibilities included supervising a team of successful state government affairs professionals covering all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

In addition, Dusty was a Vice President at Stateside Associates where he was Co-Chair of advocacy with state Attorneys General. Mr. Brighton is a highly skilled State Government Relations Professional with more than 22 years of consulting, advocacy, public sector sales, trade association management and administrative management experience.

Mr. Brighton has worked closely with organization senior management to increase visibility with federal, state, local elected officials, regulatory agencies, and their staff as well as developed industry-wide coalitions and managed significant projects on key issues. He has participated in and represented companies before trade associations and Groups such as the National Association of Attorneys General, National Governors Association, DLCC and RLCC.

He served as a Senior Manager and Director of Government Relations for eBay, Inc. and previously worked as a Regional Director of Government Relations for Microsoft and as a Regional State Government Relations Manager for Wal-Mart, Inc. In his state government relations roles, he worked closely with internal public relations, tax and law enforcement professionals to ensure policy compliance and meet company goals. Mr. Brighton was Chief Executive Officer of the Arkansas Gas Association and Vice President of the Arkansas Grocers and Retail Merchants Association.

Dusty holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.
